I hope you all had enjoyable times with your children off school this past week! And for those of you with little ones not yet in school, we hope you enjoyed celebrating our Risen Lord with your babes!
I am excited about our new study starting this week. It’s called Parenting With Purpose and Grace. Many of us haven’t yet purchased our books and plan to do so this Thursday at Moms Group. The book costs $60. The book looks great and I’m excited about what I can gleam from it and also from the moms in my group as we discuss it.
Consider inviting a fellow mom who you think might enjoy being a part of Thursday Moms.
We will begin in Chapter 1, First Things First: Loving Our Children by going through the study together. If you have your book, scan through it and see what stands out to you. If you don’t have your book, as I don’t, come carefree with your $60 and no shame about not having any homework!
PLEASE BE AWARE: We will meet on the 9th floor this week!!! The church asked if we could make room for a conference they would like to hold on the 2nd floor. SO COME TO 9TH FLOOR. If you accidently stop at the 2nd floor you’ll see lots of male pastors, none of whom are mommies!
We look forward to reconnecting with you!
Thoughts from Chapter 1:
With all the Biblical and worldy information we have about raising and nurturing children, what does it all boil down to? What is the most important thing to focus on? In Mark 12 Jesus tells us the most important commandment for all believers is to love the Lord. The second most important is to love our neighbor as our self. What does it mean then if we see our children as our ‘neighbor’? How do you know you are loved? How would you like to love your children? How does your relationship with the Lord affect your relationship with your husband and your children?
What qualities of love spelled out for us in 1 Corinthians 13 are most evident in our home? Which one is least evident?
SEE YOU ON THE 9TH FLOOR
